White powder, melting point 148-155 ℃, non-toxic, excellent lubricity and processability, no sulfide pollution

(1) Calcium stearate:
White powder, melting point 148-155 ℃, non-toxic, excellent lubricity and processability, no sulfide pollution, used together with basic lead salt and lead soap, can improve the gel speed, and the dosage is generally 0.1-0.4PHR.
(2) Oxidized polyethylene wax
White or light yellow powder or particles, although oxidized polyethylene wax contains a small amount of polar groups, it is still incompatible with PVC, but has high lubrication efficiency. It can improve the lubricity between polymers and metals, enhance extrusion efficiency, improve the dispersibility of colorants, and endow products with good transparency and luster. The dosage is 0.1-0.5PHR.
(3) Stearic acid
White or slightly yellow particles with a melting point of 70-71 ℃. It slowly evaporates at 90-100 ℃ and is used as an external lubricant in the processing of hard PVC. The dosage is generally 0.2-0.5PHR, and it has the effect of preventing chromatographic scaling. However, excessive dosage can easily cause frosting.
(4) Glyceryl stearate
Powdered substance with a melting point of 85-87 ℃, excellent heat resistance and flowability, can increase the amount of filler and promote plasticization. Combined with wax, it can improve the thermal stability of PVC-U. The general dosage is 0.2-0.6PHR.
In practice, it has been found that when two or more lubricants are used in combination, different effects are observed compared to when used alone. In the formulation of special-shaped materials, most of them use a compounding method
(5) Paraffin wax
Melting point of 57-63 ℃, without polar groups, it is a typical external lubricant. Due to its low melting point, easy evaporation, and low melt viscosity, it can only provide lubrication in a narrow range and is suitable for extrusion in single and twin-screw extruders. The general dosage is 0.1-0.8 PHR. This product has poor transparency and is prone to whitening.
(6) Polyethylene wax
White powder with a softening point of approximately 100-117 ℃. Due to its relatively large molecular weight, high melting point, and low volatility, it also exhibits significant lubricating effects at higher temperatures and shear rates. Suitable for hard PVC single and twin-screw extrusion, commonly used in quantities of 0.1-0.5PHR.
